HEI Forum

The Skills for Security Higher Education Institution (HEI) Forum provides a forum for the exchange of

information relating to skills needs, qualifications development and qualifications uptake in the UK security

business sector, and to assist Skills for Security in developing and maintaining a Sector Qualifications Strategy

and a Qualifications Framework that will meet the needs of the sector in the short, medium and long term.

The strategic intention of this Forum is to complete the pathway from entry level , for example, Licence to

Practice qualifications, through to Further Education and then into Foundation and Masters Degrees and

beyond, by understanding and responding accordingly to the actual needs of our sector.

 Current membership is comprised of the following Higher Education Institutions that offer security related

Awards and Qualifications:

• Buckingham and Chiltern University College

• Coventry University

• Cranfield University

• University of Leicester

• University of Loughborough

• Middlesex University

• University of Portsmouth

• University of St Andrews

• Teesside University

Membership of the Forum is open to all Higher Education Institutions that provide Higher Awards or

qualifications specific to the Security Business Sector. If you are interested in joining this dynamic
