Apprenticeship Frameworks
Apprenticeships work by offering both on and off the job learning giving your employee the opportunity to develop their role alongside your experienced employees as well as the chance to work towards nationally recognised qualifications. As an employer apprenticeships help to ensure that you have a workforce with the skills and qualifications needed to undertake their job role.
Skills for Security have developed Apprenticeship Frameworks in both the Security Guarding and Security Systems sectors. The frameworks provide information to employers about the qualifications that make up the Apprenticeship.
Employers may choose to register to become a centre offering apprenticeships in their own right if they are able to meet the registration requirements and have the relevant qualified staff, or work with a training provider who is already registered to offer the Apprenticeship framework.
You may also be able to obtain funding towards the apprenticeship scheme and your local Learning & Skills Council will be able to provider further information. Details are available at the LSC website www.lsc.gov.uk
